Today I want to talk about the power of thank you.
Instead of focusing on the person that receives the thank you, I want to focus on the person saying thank you.
As many of you know, I have my very first book being published in March of 2019. I’m super excited about it. It’s been an incredible journey of writing a lot of what I believe in about living fully.
My book is called: The Wealth Creator’s Playbook, and it’s a guide to maximizing your return on life and your money.
The main focus of the book is that we all have these incredible gifts and typically we live so much smaller and experience such a reduced level of return on our life than we were created for.
My hope is to inspire people to step into a much bigger life – one that really takes the blessings and the gifts we have and turn that into a life of meaning and purpose. This is where joy is and where we can find a much higher sense of purpose.
So I’ve realized as I’m getting closer to the publication date next year, there’s lots of things that have to happen.
I’ve hired a publicist and a social media team to help me promote the book – this is a brand new world for me.
The other day I was sitting at my desk thinking, “You know, isn’t it incredible that I’m at this place?” I came to the realization that there is no way I could have gotten to where I am, without a handful of people that really helped me get to where I am right now.
I decided to send them a note with a small gift of appreciation, just to say thank you.
It’s way too easy to take where we are in life, our position in life, and make it all about ourselves. Sure, I’ve invested a ton of time and other resources into this project, but had I not had the support, and in many cases, the introductions, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
For me to realize that and to truly be, have gratitude and to say thank you for that, is more important for me, because what I learned is that I need people. I need people to help me, and we all do. We aren’t where we are because of our own efforts. Sure we put in time and energy, that has to occur. We also get the help and support, mentorship, friendship, guidance and introductions to get where we are.
What would it look for you to just take a few minutes to say thanks?
I hope this encourages you today to look at the people in your life who you maybe should thank. Maybe you’re sitting in a position right now where you’ve never told the people that helped you get to where you are, “thank you.” I hope this is some inspiration for you today.
Now go live fully!
